$1950 - Platinum Solitaire Engagement Ring
Total fee (workshop, platinum*, and sales tax) for a private class to fabricate a four-prong engagement ring with a center stone up to 6mm (3/4ct.) Workshops last about 10 hours including stone setting. Fee does not include the cost of a center stone. |
 |
$2375 - Heavy Platinum Solitaire
I recommend thicker, stronger bands for stones 6.5mm and over (1ct. approx.) This band has more shaping, more strength, and stronger, thicker settings. Workshops take a little longer for the heavy solitaire. |

Diamonds & Gemstones
Most engagement rings contain center stones. I prefer to source diamonds and gemstones for my clients, but do not require that gemstones be purchased through me. For more info, see information and pricing.
Overtime - $150 per hour Standard solitaire classes generally will not incur hourly billing. Almost all custom engagement rings will. If I expect your design will take more time, I will tell you in advance.
Rush Fee - $100
A $100 fee applies to customers whose deposits are paid fewer than two weeks before a workshop. If you fall in this category, please read this page.
Gold Engagement Rings
I recommend platinum for pronged solitaire engagement rings. If you prefer, I will happily help you make an engagement ring in gold or palladium. It will probably cost a little less, however, I do not offer price quotes for solitaires in different metals.
* Prices are based on the 1/3/12 platinum market of $1406/oz. Small changes in the metal markets will not significantly affect price.
